Copperfield Church, as faithful stewards of all the resources God gives us, is committed to operating 100% debt-free, giving 10% of our offerings to missions, and sharing whatever else we can with other churches and our community. Together, sharing our resources as we give to the church, we are making a difference in our community and around the world.
"Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7)
How do you go about deciding what you should give?
We believe the Bible teaches proportional giving referring to 10% as a target for faithful giving (called a tithe); however, more than 50% of all regular churchgoers give nothing. If attendees gave just 3-4% of their income, our church's impact would more than double. If you’ve never given before just start, take a step of faith, work your way up and give something regularly. If you’re already tithing, stay consistent and watch God honor your faithfulness.
We have many many different options on how you can give to the church. Most people give cash, which means currency, personal or bank checks, and credit/debit gifts by one of the following systems:
It’s Simple: Quick and easy signup online. You don’t have to remember to write a check. You may make a one-time gift or you can set up a recurring donation.
It’s Secure: All e-check, debit and credit card information is encrypted and secure.
It’s God Honoring: The Bible teaches us to honor God with our “First Fruits” of our labor (Proverbs 3:9). By setting up a recurring contribution scheduled to come out of your account on the day you specify, you can ensure your First Fruits are faithfully given back to God.

Most people give on Sunday mornings when attending one of our worship services. We receive offerings as a part of our services each week. Some place their gifts in our "Giving & Prayer Drop Boxes" located at all of our entrances. Giving envelopes are available at each "Giving & Prayer Drop Box" or in the backs of our worship center chairs.
We also accept offerings throughout the week. You can place your gift in the "Giving & Prayer Drop Boxes" or bring them to the church offices.
You may also mail your contribution to the church and make them "Attention: Kelly Gilgour".
Finally, for those who would like giving envelopes mailed to your home quarterly, please sign up by contacting Kelly Gilgour at 281-856-2273 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Non-Cash Gifts: Donate items like cars, boats, and jewelry.
Life Insurance: Name Copperfield Church as a beneficiary of your policy.
Planned Gifts: Give via retirement assets, bequests, trusts, etc. as part of your overall personal financial strategy.
Appreciated Stock or Securities: Making a gift from appreciated stock or mutual funds creates a win-win situation for both you and the church. You'll receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock or mutual fund. Long-term appreciated assets have a fair market value greater than their cost, since they were generally purchased more than 12 months earlier. If you are making a gift of stock or securities, please let us know so that we can verify the transfer and properly record your donation.
Memorial Gifts: Even in the most common words we use to describe ourselves, we speak of our vital connection to others – mother, father, daughter, son, sister, brother, wife, husband, teacher, mentor, friend. We cherish the relationships through which God has blessed our lives. In this spirit, you may wish to make a special gift in honor or memory of a loved one. In memory of a friend or family member, a gift of any amount may be given to the church. We'll graciously acknowledge your gift to the family so they know of your concern for them.
One Gift - Twice the Impact: Did you know some employers will match your contributions? Charitable Gift Matching doubles your giving impact! Some local corporations are already participating and your employer might be able to also if you ask.
